[Most might not injure themselves on purpose for science, or if they do, it should be a small cut or prick. But Jekyll would do nearly anything for science, and the best results come from the more extreme route! So he rolls up his sleeve, and taking the sword from Dorian, slices across the width of his forearm, near the elbow, deep and long. Blood pours from the wound immediately, of course, but he expected that much, so it comes with no reaction, other than a small flinch of pain. As it keeps bleeding, he passes the sword back with a smile.]
Thank you, it's a beautiful sword.
[And then, slowly it does begin to heal. The bleeding stops, though the wound remains open for some time.]
That's correct. As a generalisation, they should have high agility and strength, but poor luck and little mana to use, while their endurance is middling. All are given a skill called Magic Resistance, which speaks for itself. Obviously they use spears or other such weapons. Which one is it, what does he look like?
[ Hyde. Shijima pays more attention to what he's saying than that realization, since she's used to the roulette way of talking. ]
Blue hair, red eyes. A red spear, apparently. I did not see him myself, but I've spoken to the soldiers, and they're sure that's who attacked them. What do you mean by "poor luck"?
[ That's a super weird thing to make mention of. ]
Hm. The one I've not met. I might contact the other to ask after him, if you like, but I doubt there is much point in it. Questions would be suspicious.
The luck is mostly irrelevant. We are all attributed with those areas as statistics. Strength, Endurance, Agility, Mana, Luck. Luck is merely that, it adds the chance to exceed oneself. Particularly low Luck could be detrimental, more likely to make mistakes or what have you.
If you want, but it's not that important. I don't think he's in the area any longer, so it's not like I have to do anything about him.
[ She's just being thorough, to be honest. And "Lancer" made her think of their conversation. ]
I just thought I may as well ask before I report my findings. Since my findings are "Lancer did it", more or less. [ She will hopefully be a bit more verbose with her actual report. ] He's a little bit destructive.
Well, they may very well know of him already. Or else another will.
Heroic Spirits do tend to be destructive in one way or another. But if he is particularly so, he may be an Anti-Hero, one who is more villain than hero, yet taken as a hero for one reason or other. Although if he is Seelie, that seems inherently less likely. They should be chaotic. Still it is worth noting.
I think he's probably an idiot-hero type. He originally approached the camp with food and drink to try to share with the soldiers there. Some attempt at peace? But ended up beheading a captain and such. And he let some soldiers go before burning down a tower.
[ Honestly she thinks it's sort of dumb because leaving survivors meant he didn't get away clean.
No, not at all. I only wish such a thing would come to pass, that I am able to handle, as you say. Would welcome it, even. My concern would be only for the spread of the truth beyond my own means. Multiple identities and names can be useful, in some ways.
[He just didn't want a fellow doctor to think badly of him for being a mad scientist, okay. ...Even if she's Frankenstein and he figured that was just a name, whatever.]
...Then he is nothing but a drunken fool. What a shame.
[That's exactly his immediate thought too - why leave anyone alive to speak of it? Mercy is only dangerous to yourself. If a tree falls in the woods, etc.]
And you didn't even hear all the things he did. He apparently had some battle with a big red-headed man on a horse, too. They've had a very exciting time of it here.
[ could you make any more of a scene, lancer. shijima thinks not. SHE REALLY THINKS NOT. ]
[And then he grins. Distorting the innocence Jekyll's face normally carries in its youth and kindness. It's far from the other's soft smile.]
Was he now? I had thought something more must have been going on. I've heard something interesting about him myself. [Well, it was told to Jekyll, but same thing.] Apparently there is something 'dark' to him, which he may not yet have realised fully.
It was interesting to come out and see things, at least. And I'm curious if I'll get anything after I'm done. So I suppose I should thank him if I ever meet him.
[ Since he was the sole cause of the harassment at the border, as near as she can tell. ]
What have you been up to for the past week or so, though?
It would make little difference. Still, who would want to allow it. If it comes to it, though, please allow me, as I have been made to suffer through his company so often.
[Good on you, Shijima.]
What I was told, however, was quite basic. The woman did not know the details of it herself, only what she has seen of another version of him, from her world. Essentially Jekyll was warned I might be drawn to him for sex as she was.
[He waves a hand flippantly. As it is, he still doesn't like Dorian, but he's getting more interesting, at least. But he's still too annoying to sleep with.]
Apparently there is something malign 'in him' which he revels in. At least, in the future, he would.
I didn't notice anything like that about him, but I doubt it would effect me even if it's simply something that hasn't taken place yet.
[ She ain't a human, after all. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT, HUMANS. ]
But if it's a case of "in my world" then it might not be something to rely upon, I suppose. Still, I think there's probably more to him that there seems to be. I wasn't even trying to rile him up, not really.
He would be interesting to speak with or observe, at the least. I should be interested to hear what your reward will be as well, if anything. Though really they should grant something for your trouble.
[Actually, his last few days have been pretty good...]
Let's see now. I've given combat training, as an instructor, despite no desire or affinity for teaching. Still, it is something, and better than near any other option.
I doubt it was meant as some inherent ability. More a guess at my preferences, which of course my other half would disapprove of, and that I might influence the boy poorly.
There is certainly something even now, no matter the differences between this one, and another. He has been holding something back. All the more clearly if he meant to attack you in such a way. What caused it?
