Was he now? I had thought something more must have been going on. I've heard something interesting about him myself. [Well, it was told to Jekyll, but same thing.] Apparently there is something 'dark' to him, which he may not yet have realised fully.

He had that look, until Jekyll interrupted. I haven't spoken to him since, but I probably will later.

It would make little difference. Still, who would want to allow it. If it comes to it, though, please allow me, as I have been made to suffer through his company so often.

What I was told, however, was quite basic. The woman did not know the details of it herself, only what she has seen of another version of him, from her world. Essentially Jekyll was warned I might be drawn to him for sex as she was.

[He waves a hand flippantly. As it is, he still doesn't like Dorian, but he's getting more interesting, at least. But he's still too annoying to sleep with.]

Apparently there is something malign 'in him' which he revels in. At least, in the future, he would.

I didn't notice anything like that about him, but I doubt it would effect me even if it's simply something that hasn't taken place yet.

But if it's a case of "in my world" then it might not be something to rely upon, I suppose. Still, I think there's probably more to him that there seems to be. I wasn't even trying to rile him up, not really.

I doubt it was meant as some inherent ability. More a guess at my preferences, which of course my other half would disapprove of, and that I might influence the boy poorly.

There is certainly something even now, no matter the differences between this one, and another. He has been holding something back. All the more clearly if he meant to attack you in such a way. What caused it?

He was wondering if spontaneous combustion was possible, so I offered to spontaneously set him on fire.

There was freaking out on his part, and he asked how I'd like it if he did that to me, to which I pointed out he couldn't, and that's the point when he would've tried.

A fine response on both your parts. Would you have done it? I would wonder after a reason for such an absurd question, if not for expecting such utter stupidity from that boy.

Don't be ridiculous. If I were going to kill him, I would have simply ripped out his throat. He wouldn't die from being set aflame; there were far too many people there to put it out.

If only it had come to pass. But then it is better you did not, if only for witnesses being quite the trouble.

[Like that time one stupid maid saw him beat someone to death, didn't even know who he was, and still managed to set the whole city after him?? Or having to sit through an entire evening with exasperating men to pay them off when the bank opened. Don't have witnesses.]

Yes. I probably would not have been invited back there if I'd done anything, and that would have been a pity. It wasn't a bad place to nap.
