"How very strange. I must remember to ask after the particulars of the workings during the time the others here come from." Though he supposes doing away with the rankings might make more sense, really. "I trust you've been given all the information you require?"
"I've been given all the information that Gilgamesh wants me to have," Dorian says, and it is proof enough that he has a sense of who he is dealing with. "I'm always happy to have more."
"I know that I am to give prana, and he can do as he likes with it," Dorian says. "I know that my body doesn't contain any prana, as it is all in the painting. We are supposed to be fighting for the Holy Grail, but it isn't so here. My Command Seals can be used three times to give an absolute command over him."
"Yes. And you must keep at least one, without it, the contract may as well be finished, as the Servant will have no reason to listen to you. It would potentially put you in danger. Use them very wisely, a Command Spell is a threat posed more than it is truly used."
He pauses, thinking. "However, if, for some reason, the Grail should ever appear here, I must implore you not to fight to attain it, no matter your Servant's wishes. It must be destroyed, for it is not what it appears. That I can exist is proof enough that it is corrupt. But I suppose that is all that is relevant here. No one is truly in control, a Master and Servant are meant to be an equal team. And of course, you may always come to me with any questions or troubles."
"Its true purpose - in my world, which I am told it may not be so in others, yet there is undoubtedly something inherently malign about it even so - is to summon the beast of the apocalypse through ritual sacrifice." He shakes his head. "That is one part of the reason Tatsumi and I seek to end the war, as you might guess."
"It is. Not all are aware of this, so perhaps even if the Grail is won, it will not come to pass, however that fact is enough. The Grail and the Grail War are terribly evil.
"But let us not dwell on such things, being apart from them. I wish you luck in handling such a Servant!"
"I will manage him," Dorian says, rubbing at the seal on his hand. "I would rather have him aligned to my interests than not." It is hard not to add as it is with Hyde, but the thought of another red-eyed monster lingers on his tongue.
"That is a wise thought indeed." It's certainly what comes to mind for Henry as well. Now Dorian effectively has command over two Servants, who are similar in the worst ways. Much better than to be somehow pitted against them.
Dorian's eyes flicker back up, and he smiles a little, the expression no less honest for its slightness. "The strangest thing is that I trust Edward more than I trust Gilgamesh."
"-Do you?" That's...actually a surprise. "My situation is somewhat different, but I would trust Gilgamesh over Hyde." But then, they can never get along, there's a certain bias. Although...he casts his eyes down, flushing as he remembers the relationship between the two. They really are alike. But to think his body is involved...
"Gilgamesh wants to use me; I know it. Edward just w—" He notices the flush. A step forward, and his hand is on Jekyll's arm. "Are you all right, Henry?"
"No, no, it's- nothing." Well, that's not true. He corrects himself, to an extent, "That is, I find it difficult to face him, Gilgamesh. For he and Hyde are...quite close..." Although if Gilgamesh is going to use Dorian, well, all the more wise of him to see through that and keep himself safe in supposedly giving in.
"I should hope not...I don't imagine so, my Master has said nothing on the subject." Then again, his Master is the devil. ...And also slept with Hyde. But come to think of it putting it in such a way sounds an awful lot like he could be involved in this himself- "That I can recall, that is! Perhaps she has spoken to Hyde privately, as he is the sole perpetrator!"
He presses his lips together, trying to collect himself despite the extreme embarrassment (thanks Hyde, thanks Gilgamesh). "...I hope you are spared any such...imagery."
"It is, for better or worse, largely on the Master's end. You should expect dreams of his memories. However he will not see yours, so far as I am aware, and I have had a Master quite a while. Largely you will be able to speak with eachother through that link, awareness of strong emotions or injury."
"I am very glad for the opportunity." Squeezing Dorian's hand in return, Jekyll kisses his cheek, a soft smile coming to him. "I still wish to protect you, after all."
In pulling away, Dorian's nose brushes Jekyll's, their lips only barely passing one another. He tries not to let it be obvious how much he wishes it were not a near miss.
"Ah . . . is there anything else?" Realizing it may sound like a dismissal, he rushes to add, "I would like to spend time with you, of course! It has been so long."
Some part of him wishes it had not been a miss as well. Jekyll almost reaches to catch Dorian's arm to take that kiss, he lifts his hand, but pulls back. He can't do that.
"I don't believe there is any other particular business I have. Though I would be glad to spend any time in your presence, even unspeaking."
"It almost sounds as if you had something in mind!" He laughs, taking up Dorian's hand in both his own. "And of course, you may visit me at home any time. The place is warded."

But he is curious. "What do you mean that it is corrupt?"

"Oh."
His head ducks, and his cheeks flush. "Given the, ah, link formed between us, I hope that the telepathy isn't so strong as to . . ." Communicate that.
