Well, it's kind of complicated. She's technically twenty years old, but she's really only half of that.

Her mother was a human, so as a half-demon she ages a lot slower.

That must be nice for you both to have a child longer without becoming independent as they too quickly do.

Yeah, she stays on Earth - err, her Earth. I've been to a lot of Earths. We'd keep in contact every once in a while when I wasn't here. She's very...human where it matters. She's a very sweet girl; kind and considerate, really social...just like her mother was. But she's got my confidence and independence, not to mention my...rebellious streak. Even I couldn't make her do something she didn't want to if she was really against it.

[Not that she would, but details.]

You two would probably get along pretty well.

Well- that isn't really the way I meant it! But of course your daughter would live up to her father's legacy!

[Jekyll is all the more endeared to his Master to hear (s)he's so invested in and delighted by his daughter.]

She sounds lovely, I wish that I could meet her. Although I can hardly imagine what could lead to you becoming a father.

Well...I won't lie, it's not like I planned it or anything. Her mother was more kind of like...a lover.

[The whole devil children thing is a very complicated deal.]

Plus when a demon and a human actually get involved like that, the chance of actually producing a child is low; I mean like, one in a million, and it got to the point where everyone started saying a devil child like that was destined to happen and a bunch of prophecies started getting drawn up. I thought it was kind of dumb; things just happen, you know? Although I guess the fact I was the one involved made people believe the hype even more.

But I don't know...at first I thought she was worth keeping just in case she was of any use. After a little while I started slipping out of Hell to see her more and more; one time I stayed on Earth for a few days straight because she got a cold.

Really ruins the whole Devil image, huh?

Well, it's far from what I would expect of you. Even in knowing you better than anyone else here - I would assume - it's quite the surprise. Only it is not at all a bad one. In fact it is actually really awesome! I'm glad for you. Is her mother still alive...?
