Ah, it is a sort of moving photograph, such as that of the lockets, on a much larger scale. They display such things as people announcing the news of the day, advertisements for products or shops, and plays. People have them in their homes as well, on a much smaller scale, a box of perhaps a foot or two. I suppose the screens on the street must be so large to properly be seen from their height.
