That is in fact the case. In truth, Dorian can spring his trap at any time. All Dorian wants is the chance to speak privately.

"I don't see what good might be done in doing harm to one who would enjoy it. There is no revenge in that."

"Ah yes, you promised me revenge, did you not. If that is the case, then perhaps it would do little good, considering my utter depravity." A statement he seems proud of.

"My apologies to you."

He barely resists rolling his eyes, and his voice is flat. "You sound far from apologetic."

"You must forgive me that. Unfortunately I cannot be sorry for the things I find pleasure in." He offers a smile, along with his hand.

And there is that hand. It makes his breath catch in his throat, makes him step back involuntarily. Even with revenge in his pocket, he fears that hand, those eyes.

"I—I'd like to speak with Henry."

"You still lack trust in me? Well I suppose I cannot fault you that." As Hyde drops his hand, he bows his head. And in an instant, it is Jekyll again. More aware of his surroundings than usual.

And yet each time Hyde listens, each time he gives Dorian what he asks . . . he gets a little further in winning Dorian over. In making Dorian feel he can trust him.

It is still a relief to see Jekyll, or it is in that first moment. But Jekyll has in him an uncertainty that Hyde lacks, and Dorian hesitates.

"Henry."

"Hello, Dorian. I was wondering if you had attended the tournament, it's good to see you."

Though he smiles, there's a hint of uncertainty. Taking in the alley, he does wonder what they're doing there, he hopes Hyde hadn't lead Dorian there for some terrible reason.

"Were you all right? In the fighting, I know it was Hyde, but—" His eyes flicker up, and he stops. It's so hard to talk to Jekyll now. He hates it.

Dorian's eyes fall down again. "I wanted to ask if you . . . if you remembered . . ."

"...Yes, I remember a good portion of it. Because of that, I hope to seek out my opponents to apologise. ...Although that will require a certain amount of courage." Jekyll dips his head, in shame and apology. "But I am all right, yes. I heal very quickly, particularly now with my Master, luckily."

"I have faith in you," Dorian says, and suddenly, impulsively, pulls Jekyll into a hug.

His hand on Jekyll's back holds a paper of carefully chosen runes. So quiet, Dorian hums two low notes.

And the spell is complete.

In the first moment of the embrace, Jekyll smiles, arms finding Dorian's back in return. But the strange thing is, after that moment, any happiness is suddenly gone, as if melted away. And yet it is still the same otherwise. It's very odd, and he doesn't feel sadness in its place, only...indifference. But that can't be right. He knows how he would normally feel, and did only a second before, so why should that change? He isn't unhappy. Everything else tells him he should be very glad right now.

So he fakes it. "Thank you, that's very reassuring."

Dorian pulls back a moment later, squeezes Jekyll's hand. And then he pulls away. With his goal complete, he can frown about another matter.

"Um . . . I also wanted to ask if you remembered what . . . what I did. Last time we spoke."

"Oh- yes. I do. It's all right, if you intend to apologise or explain yourself, there is no need, I understand." He offers Dorian a smile, even without feeling it truly. It's the right thing to do. And yet how strange. He appreciates Dorian's words and actions, but...

sometime by the end of the month

Mostly on the lookout for her servant, she walks through the clinic popping her head into every room she passes.]

Hennnnr—uh, I mean, Edwarrr—wait, what am I saying? Berserker! Where are you?

[Berserker sits at a work station, sleeves rolled up, glasses perched atop his nose, tending to beakers of carefully heated liquids. Hearing his name called, he pops his head out the door.]

Yes? In here, what is it?

[It may have taken an entire goddamned year but she's finally not wearing that stupid school uniform, outside of a situation where she'd figure she'd have to switch to another outfit for the occasion. It's just a pair of gray shorts and black t-shirt with a cardigan thrown over it, but it's different.

I was reading a book about the drabwurld earlier and I can't remember where it is. [She probably knows exactly where it is.] Have you seen it?

[From how quick that response was, it's likely she was going to ask him to look for it anyway.]

[What is this. It's not as if Lucifer doesn't have all the time in the world, does she think 'Servant' is a literal title... But he doesn't really mind, so he smiles, and heads up the stairs to look there first, calling out.]

Would you like some tea, by the way?

[Clearly taking a page from Rin's book with the whole servant thing.

Anyway, she leans out of the room she's in to look up at him ascending the stairs when she responds.]

First thing's first! [A beat.] We can have tea after.

[Then goes back to looking downstairs.

He'll find the book eventually in one of the upstairs rooms. At the very least she ain't no slob, so it's just sitting on a table by itself.]

[That was a surprisingly easy search. He thumbs through the book for a moment, before bringing it back downstairs.]

Here you are, something from the library at Caer Scima...?

[And will get on making tea after handing it over. Always tea.]

[She takes it off of him, nodding, and as he leaves the room to go make tea she calls out from the other room, continuing their conversation.]

Yeah. One thing that's got me is the monarchs; I've heard of all the other stuff here, but their names don't mean anything to me. I know Morla's a river on Earth, but I think that's just a coincidence.

I would imagine then that they use different names than their true ones. I have heard something of Moral being called Shade in the past? Something along those lines...
